Saturday 11th is another busy day as we have a team taking part in this year’s District Quiz Final in Ipswich in the afternoon. Then in the evening is our Valentine’s Barn Dance with live music from the Jasper Ceilidh Band in St. Osyth Village Hall. Let’s hope both are a big success.
After a busy meeting last night, it looks like a full Business Meeting on Wednesday will be “Full” with lots to go through and some busy events to come. Looking forward to as many members as possible being there.

Good extra social gathering with a Bowling Breakfast at Clacton Pavilion Bowl. The winner was Jean Cross, wife of Lion John Cross, with 131 having bowled a Turkey with her last three bowls.
Last Night we ran a quiz for the charities supported by the Chairman of the Tendring District Council. 30 teams battled it out for the pleasure of taking home the shield and other super prizes. Eventually, a team called “Bright Sparks” won and collected the trophy which they also won at the last Quiz for
Tomorrow we are off to Tiptree to take part in our Region Quiz. Just hope the Questionmaster is gentle on us.
Tomorrow, some of our members will be collecting on behalf of the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) at Tesco’s Superstore in Brook Park, Clacton on Sea. We shall be there between 10 am and 5 pm. Come and say hallo to us and put something in our buckets for a special cause.
Currently we are preparing for the first Business Meeting of the new year. Always a busy one because we have not met formally since the end of November and we have had a busy time raising monies with Father Christmas. Later on 25th January, we will be giving away some big cheques. It is a
