New President for 2019/20

We now have a new President!  Well actually he is an old President as Lion Jim Godden was President for 2018/19  but after a very short rest he is back in the chair following the resignation of the original incumbent for this year.  Unfortunately we are not so lucky regarding the vacant position of Secretary

Big Payout

Last Wednesday we held our Annual Presentation Evening when we give away a substantial part of the monies raised by our Christmas Collections and from our Annual Quiz Sheet.  In total we gave away £8,250 of which £4,000 was given to the Clacton RNLI Branch for our two local lifeboats.  We then gave £600 to

Still Tables Free for Friday

There are still a few tables free for our popular Christmas Quiz on Friday 30th November at St. James’s Church Hall, Tower Road, Clacton on Sea, CO15 1LE.  Teams can be 4 to 6 people and the cost is £3.50 per team member.  All funds raised this time will be used to support the running

Remembrance Sunday

Welcome to our New President

Cheque for Life Saving Equipment

Last week we handed over a cheque for £1,500 to Sharon Alexander, the CEO of Community Voluntary Services Tendring, to enable the purchase of Defibrillator to be placed outside the CVST Offices in Rosemary Road, Clacton on Sea.  There should be funds to contribute to the cost of the electrical work required too.  Lion President
