Barn Dance Success

Last Saturday’s Barn Dance was very busy with over 80 attending and dancing to live music from The Jasper Ceilidh Band.  Total raised subject to the Treasurer’s usual scrutiny was £391 – not to forget the very important 28 pence.

Another Busy Day

Saturday 11th is another busy day as we have a team taking part in this year’s District Quiz Final in Ipswich in the afternoon.  Then in the evening is our Valentine’s Barn Dance with live music from the Jasper Ceilidh Band in St. Osyth Village Hall. Let’s hope both are a big success.


After a busy meeting last night, it looks like a full Business Meeting on Wednesday will be “Full” with lots to go through and some busy events to come.  Looking forward to as many members as possible being there.

Our Presentation Evening last night was well attended and those assembled so us give away a total of £7,000. We gave our Peace Poster winner, Ellie Moss, her prize and the Les Ellis Memorial Peace Poster Trophy to her school, Tendring Technology College. Busy Quiz is a Hit

Last Night we ran a quiz for the charities supported by the Chairman of the Tendring District Council.  30 teams battled it out for the pleasure of taking home the shield and other super prizes.  Eventually, a team called “Bright Sparks” won and collected the trophy which they also won at the last Quiz for
