June is always a busy month as we lead up to our year end and a change of Presidents. 2018 is no exception and we have already handed over £3,500 in cheques – of which more later – marshalled the visit of the Mayor of Sandwich to the Cinque Port of Brightlingsea, run fund-raising stalls
On Saturday 9th June, we shall be setting up a stall at the Clacton Factory Outlet to promote awareness of Diabetes, a growing epidemic in the UK which can seriously alter sufferers lifestyle and can even shorten their lifespan. We shall also be promoting our Message in a Bottle kits which can save the lives
Starting on Monday 14th May, we are selling Draw Tickets at Morrison’s Superstore in Centenary Way, Little Clacton for six days. The work started on Friday when our President, Lion Peter, and our Welfare Chairman, Lion Andrew delivered a car load of items to the Foodbank in Harwich.
