Donations Outgoing

This week our President, Lion Jim Godden, handed over a cheque for £600 to Duty Manager, Dan Woolfe, at our local Morrison’s in Little Clacton  and their Community Champion Mercedes Dolby.  The cheque was to benefit Morrison’s Supported Charity, CLIC Sargent and came from the proceeds of the recent Christmas Hamper Draw which was sponsored

Fantastic Friday

On Friday 27th September, we help a Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support at Great Bentley Village Hall and raised over £565.  In the afternoon, we got together with our local MP, Giles Watling, to launch a defibrillator, funded by our Club, based outside the Tom Peppers Bar on the seafront at the junction of

New President for 2019/20

We now have a new President!  Well actually he is an old President as Lion Jim Godden was President for 2018/19  but after a very short rest he is back in the chair following the resignation of the original incumbent for this year.  Unfortunately we are not so lucky regarding the vacant position of Secretary

We said farewell to Lion Brian Pammenter today at a very moving celebration of his life.  With almost 39 years as a Lion, Brian was one of our longest serving members seeing as we have only been chartered for exactly 40 years.  He was a Melvin Jones Fellow and had also been President.  Always ready

What a Great 9 Days

A relaxing day after 9 days of fund raising starting with our 26th Nostalgia Quiz Night on Friday 17th May, followed on the Sunday where we attended the Classic Car Show in Little Clacton and despite the weather not being as good as it had been we still nearly used up all the available soft
